APR Energy Provides Transformation Services for Engie in Chile
APR Energy recently went online with a transformation solution for Engie Energía Chile. APR’s services and equipment will allow Engie to continue operating the 375 MW CTM-7 unit at the Mejillones power station in Antofagasta, Chile while the company performs maintenance on its auxiliary transformer.
APR’s solution included an array of 10 MVA, single phase, dry type transformers installed and operated by APR technicians.
“APR’s technical team worked with us to develop a creative and efficient solutions that allowed our plant to save costs and continue meeting its generation obligations during the maintenance period”, said Gabriel Marcuz, Managing Director GBU Thermal & Supply Chile, Engie Energía.
APR was able to assemble a dedicated team and technology solution for Engie utilizing its deep bench of power generation, protection and control experts as well as balance of plant inventory which the company utilizes for its global portfolio of power plants and energy service offerings.
