UTILITY POWER SOLUTIONS

APR Energy’s fast-track power solutions have helped public and government-owned utilities in nearly 30 countries turn on the lights for millions of customers and provide essential electricity for homes, health clinics, schools, businesses and a better quality of life. We also have responded in emergency situations, installing generating capacity within days of earthquakes and tsunamis to help restore vital services and avoid civil unrest.

Since 2004, we have worked with some of the world’s largest and best-known utilities in developed and developing markets, providing solutions tailored to meet each customer’s unique needs. Our projects range from turnkey rental power to full-service purchase power agreements that include all aspects of plant installation, operation and maintenance. The ability of our reciprocating engines and mobile turbines to reach full power in less than 10 minutes make them technologies of choice for peaking applications to meet seasonal spikes in demand, and they are an ideal source of back-up power for intermittent renewables. Our fuel-efficient and power-dense mobile turbines are particularly well-suited for baseload demand and bridging power during the construction of permanent generating capacity.

Utility customers also count on our grid optimization and stabilization projects to help them operate more efficiently and ultimately ensure a more reliable, secure supply of energy. The quick-start capabilities and power density of our mobile turbines make them an ideal solution for grid stability and a source of spinning reserves in the event of unexpected grid failure.
